Snoqualmie’s 2007 Scores and Competition Results are in!
Prosser, WASnoqualmie had another stellar year in 2007 with acclaim and accolades from media outlets across the country.
Four wines scored 90 points or higher including the 2006 Chardonnay (90 points, Wine News), 2006 Winemaker’s Select Riesling (91 points, Wine Enthusiast), 2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (90 points, Wine Advocate) and the 2003 Reserve Merlot (90 points, Wine Enthusiast).
Snoqualmie received 15 value accolades including six ‘Best Buys’ and seven ‘Best Values’ from publications such as Good Housekeeping, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Miami Herald, the Seattle Times, South Florida Sun Sentinel and the San Francisco Chronicle. The winery was also recognized as a ‘Value Brand of the Year’ by Wine & Spirits in June of this year.
In addition to wine scores, 20 Snoqualmie wines were entered in various wine competitions in 2007, resulting in 7 gold medals and 1 silver medal. Award highlights include: 2006 Winemaker’s Select Riesling (DOUBLE GOLD and Best Riesling, San Francisco International Wine Competition), 2005 Naked Riesling (GOLD, Best of Class and Women’s Sweeps, National Women’s Wine Competition), 2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (DOUBLE GOLD and Vintner’s Outstanding, Seattle Wine Awards) and 2004 Reserve Syrah (GOLD, Indiana State Fair).
