Snoqualmie 2008 Naked Riesling Columbia Valley“Best Buy”Wine Enthusiast
A succulent, off-dry Riesling from organically grown grapes, Snoqualmie’s Naked bottling opens with floral top notes, fills out the palate with crisp apple and peach fruit, then turns almost tropical, with a lingering finish loaded with honey and papaya.
Snoqualmie 2007 Naked Riesling Columbia Valley Wine Enthusiast
The Naked Riesling is organically farmed and produced. This new vintage already seems a bit tired and has an unusually deep (oxidized?) golden color. It’s drinking well enough, like a somewhat aged apple cider, but does not have the sort of freshness that one would hope for in a just-released 2007 wine.
Snoqualmie 2007 Naked Riesling Columbia Valley“Excellent & Best Buy”Wine Press Northwest
Winemaker Joy Andersen has been producing the "Naked" line of wines for a few years now. The focus is on grapes grown organically, and the production for the Naked Riesling has reached an all time high. It’s an off-dry wine with 2.8% residual sugar, yet the sweetness is tempered by bright acidity. Aromas and flavors of Fuji apples, limes and peaches make this a real treat. Enjoy in a hot tub, swim suit optional.
Snoqualmie 2007 Naked Riesling Columbia ValleyWine Spectator
Sweet, but balanced with racy acidity, offering apricot, peach, nutmeg and cream aromas and flavors that linger expressively as the finish persists.
Snoqualmie 2006 Naked Riesling Columbia Valley“Best Buy & Excellent”Wine Press Northwest
Joy Andersen grabbed these certified grapes from the Horse Heaven Hills earlier (Oct. 3) than some took Riesling elsewhere, but she maintained delicious sweetness (3% residual sugar). Expect a nose full of ripe orchard fruit and squeezed oranges, chased by citron and baked pear flavors with ample acidity and a hint of cinnamon.
